Review about Ashburn Clinic, Dunedin
I SURVIVED ASHBURN (just)
Ashburn Clinic helped save my life after a serious attempt on my life. The nurses and doctors are worth their weight in gold. Downside is the therapeutic community. Therapeutic? Questionable. More like toxic. It’s like being part of a human experiment and being under surveillance 24/7 with fellow patients. Not normal nor helpful. Meetings tended to focus on relationship and personality issues and missed the point of the majority of people wanting to end their lives. Totally missed the point. I witnessed numerous people try and take their lives. This would be helpful because…? Those poor people who reached breaking point would be ostracised in large groups. Like a public hanging. Harrowing and haunting experience I will, unfortunately never forget. I saw more people getting unwell than well. Not a place for free-minded, independent thinkers. Thank God I broke free!
