The pictures on this website are not the true look of this motel. My husband and I had the worst stay at a motel anywhere in NZ at this motel on 25 October 2016. The outside was a disgrace, with the lawns not mowed, the outside of the buildings needing a good clean and maintenance and the sign on the street (a good give away) was broken and not working. Due to a lack of motels in Henderson/Massey we booked into this motel (original to stay 3 nights). But when we got back to our room (yes I didn't check the room before we took it) on the 25th we discovered the hovel we had just been given. The bathroom walls were filthy, the toilet seat had a cigarette burn, the walls had holes in them that had just had a piece of plywood screwed over it. The shower box was mouldy and the soap shelf had a whole in it that someone had tried to fix with glue which had become mouldy. The curtains were mouldy, 1 blind was fraying and didn't work properly and the other blind didn't work at all. One heater was filthy and another had a out of order sign on it. The main light switch was cracked and broken. All the window frames were mouldy and one window had a latch missing and we couldn't shut it properly (this was over the bed). The bedspread had a hole in it and the sheets had stains on them. The bathroom towels & floor mat were dirty. The plates had not been washed properly. They were charging this room out for $99 per night. It wasn't worth $50 per night. When I asked for my money back I was told as I had spent the night I had to pay the $99 for that night. I have the pictures to back this up. This motel does not deserve a 5 star rating and you should be ashamed to advertise as such. This motel should be shut down and cleaned up.
