We booked a room for our family a month or two in advance and was told the price and sent a deposit. On the day, we were going to arrive late so we phoned to let them know. When we got there after 9 at night we were told that the cost of the room was $80.00 more than what we had been first told. The reasons were because it was a big weekend in Wanaka, the husband had taken the booking and he didn't know about the bookings, it was only verbal so it did't count. So we did not pay the extra money to this very rude woman and landed up sleeping in the car with our young children.
