Mobilty Equipment & Services BOP Ltd started out in the late 1990's as Bay Mobility Services (BAYMOS), manufacturing quality special needs wheelchairs for the disabled and servicing mobility equipment. Thomas Scott bought BAYMOS in April 2000, primarily to ensure aged residential care providers had access to value for money maintenance for their hospital and mobility equipment. Bay Mobility Services continued to trade as BAYMOS and changed direction from manufacturing to specialise in the servicing and sales of mobility equipment. In response to customer feedback the name was changed on the 1st August 2008 to Mobility Equipment & Services - BOP Limited (MES). The name better reflects the growing range of products and services now provided by MES over the greater Bay of Plenty region. We now sell a range of mobility scooters and other products that we know from experience will provide a more reliable service for our customers'. With our background of proven reliability in equipment servicing we have been contracted by the Ministry of Health Subsidiary - Enable NZ - to support the independence of disabled people in the Bay of Plenty. Our service area includes the Coromandel right through to the eastern BOP. We also pride ourselves on being the service agent for most brands of mobility equipment and can deal with most problems that can arise with equipment maintenance either at the customer's home or back at our service centre. Over the ensuing years the MES team has evolved and grown based on core values of a strong work ethic, integrity, honesty and reliability. We will see you right and "Support your Independence".
