Manapouri is the departure point for Doubtful Sound activities and cruises, and the Manapouri walking tracks. Across the Waiau River lies the Manapouri Track which provides a variety walking options from 4 hr hikes to overnight or multiple-day walks. Access to these walks on the Manapouri Track is by River Water Taxi crossings.
