Portrait Photographs Where to Start

13 September 2012

Helpful hints:
We meet a lot of clients who have been thinking about having a photo session and took a LONG time to build up the confidence or even just the effort to find the time. When they get here they wish they'd come sooner!

This is what our clients told us would help you:

1 - "Just do it! It is a state of mind, more connected with fear than reality. Go with the impulse: pick up the phone and make the call!"
Before we can book you a Sitting, we invite you to attend a 15min consultation. This is your opportunity to ask questions - we can talk through what is involved from start to finish, talk about everything that we do and what you can do to get the most out of it - easy!

2 - "Its always fun to do some research on hairstyles and make-up you might like, lists of outfits you would like to bring (including some from girlfriends' wardrobes)."
Get started on this with a quick 15 minute chat about what you'd like to see in the end.

3 - "Get an idea of image styles you like! A fun way to do this is start keeping a scrapbook of images from magazines/web etc of images you love." This can be a great asset when you do come in for your Sitting!

4 - "Sometimes it is more a matter of dropping a big hint and making sure it lands right on his toes :)"  Try emailing the man in your life a link to this website mentioning that "I would love to do something like this one day..." and see if, for your birthday, a lovely Photographers Inc Voucher turns up. There's always hope!

5 - So go ahead and book yourself a time right now!
