Our Approach: A Deeper Look at Your Health

Are you searching for a solution to persistent pain or dysfunction, tired of treatments that only seem to cover up the symptoms? At Meridian Health, our clinical approach is built on a different philosophy: to find and resolve the true, underlying cause of your condition.

Our process begins with a comprehensive assessment that goes beyond the obvious. We believe your body tells a story, and a skilled practitioner must know how to listen. Through detailed questioning , observation of your posture and movement, and highly developed palpation skills, we identify the specific patterns of imbalance. We feel for subtle changes in tissue texture , muscle tone , and the movement of your joints, fascia, and even lymphatic structures to build a complete picture of your health.

The Cornerstone: Vector-Guided Release (VGR)

At the heart of our practice is Vector-Guided Release (VGR), a unique manual therapy system developed by our principal practitioner, Tyrone PenningVGR was designed to identify and correct the specific biomechanical faults—often subtle joint misalignments in the spine and pelvis—that perpetuate pain and limit function.

What makes VGR different is its cooperative approach to healing. It is not a passive treatment where things are done to you. Instead, it is a partnership between practitioner and patient.

  • Precise Assessment: We first identify a "Point of Maximum Intensity" (PMI)This is a precise signal where you report maximum tenderness and the practitioner feels maximum resistanceThis PMI tells us the exact location and nature of the restriction.

  • Cooperative Release: The practitioner then applies a gentle, sustained pressure on this point, acting as a precise fulcrumWhile this pressure is held, you actively perform a specific, gentle movementThis active patient participation is the key that facilitates the release and realignment of the joint, correcting the deep structural issue.

This method is precise, gentle, and highly effective because it uses your body's own movements and feedback systems to achieve lasting results.

An Integrated Toolkit for Complete Care

While VGR is our cornerstone for correcting structural faults, we understand that true health requires a holistic approach. We integrate VGR with a full spectrum of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and manual therapies to create a treatment plan that is uniquely yours. Depending on your needs, your treatment may include:

  • Acupuncture: Using various needling techniques, including electro-acupuncture, to reduce pain, support healing, and restore balance to the body's systems.

  • Tui Na (Chinese Medical Massage): Applying a range of specialised hand techniques like pressing (An), pushing (Tui), and grasping (Na) to release muscle tension, move Qi and blood, and relax the body.

Our goal is to provide you with a lasting solution, not a temporary fix. If you are ready to address the root cause of your condition, we invite you to book a consultation and experience a new standard of care.
