Wrightway Studios Ltd, Auckland

I wanted to get an estimate on a very tiny repair (the size of your little finger nail), for an unremarkable item, but, in response to my email, Wrightway Studio Ltd in Auckland told me that I had to bring my item in to be assessed. I had to make a 5 hour trip to do so! The person there took time to look at my item and advised that this tiny repair would cost $250. I thought that the cost of the repair totally outweighed the cost of the item, I'd bought second hand. I was a bit shocked, but accepted that this was a choice I needed to make. I decided not to have this company try and repair my item. Honestly, I do 'get' that this company has to charge a minimum rate, but do not understand why this rate is such a secret! Had they given any indication of their minimum charge, I could have saved everyone's time ( mine and theirs) and not bothered to travel so far or waste the time of the assessor.
