I agree their counter staff attitude is appalling! As an engineer who have used Stabilus Glenfield over the years, I have to say my recent experience with their workmanship when adapting a simple 20nm gas strut with eyelets was terrible, one of the eyelets was crooked. The counter staff were off handed and dismissive. I felt like a foreign bacteria who had invaded their premises! I got theimpression they would have preferred not to have anyone disturb their peace!

Had a really bad experience with vehicle gas lifters made by them, they made out they had correct specs for a replacement set but there was a lot of wasted time going back and forth with them trying to get them right. We had an expert who said to us that they would never work on our vehicle Our original gas struts were worn but still ok but I decided that for safety sake get them done before they failed, in hindsight should have left them alone. They had to butcher ours to use the brackets, but as they are completely useless, and because we insisted a refund they required the new ones back and we are now left without struts as these are extremely hard to find as they are no longer made and can't be re gassed Not impressed with their attitude and won't be getting any struts done through them. They were recommended by toyota north shore.
