My mother took my 3 year old male Keeshond to this groomer for an "assessment". She shaved his entire underside bare with clippers. YOU NEVER SHAVE A KEESHOND. Any groomer knows the number one rule with double coats is never use clippers. They are unable to regulate their heat with a shaved coat. It will take years to grow back, if it ever does as most shaved double coats result in alopecia. She single handedly ruined this dogs chance at surviving the temperature changes throughout the seasons. How can someone call themselves a groomer when they butcher an animals coat in minutes? The only reason we considered her services is because another local Keeshond owner said she takes times "trimming the mats and brushing out the undercoat". She never even pulled out the scissors or a brush. NEVER SHAVE A KEESHOND. Thanks, now my dog can't go 10m on a walk without stopping and keeps panting constantly as he can no longer regulate his temperature. He no longer accepts a groom longer than 10 minutes after being traumatised by this "groomer". If you plan on shaving a pet's coat maybe consider calling or consulting the owner before you permanently ruin the dog. Avoid this groomer!
