Our small family run vineyard and winery, named for its geology, aims to make premium hand crafted wines from intensively managed Syrah, Montepulciano, Pinot Gris and Cabernet Franc Our vines are separated by a thin layer of soil and clay from the eroded core of an ancient mountain ridge composed of massive sequences of folded and contorted Jurassic greywacke a major feature of our terroir
