Department Of Corrections - Community Probation Service, Rotorua

THE DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS - COMMUNITY PROBATION SERVICE IS AN INCOMPERTANT JOKE!!! My Husband and I have had his cousin staying with us for approximately 5 months. He is on home detention, and as he did not have a home to be detained in, he came to us. My Husband and I are also approved career's for his children. Before Christmas I told his Probation officer that we could not have the children over Christmas because his co offender and partner, was staying here. (One of his probation conditions is that he is not to have contact with her, so at that time was in breach of his probation conditions.) His probation officer raised her voice and told me that it was because of him not his partner, that we could not have the children, to which I replied, that we must be being told 2 different things. ( At the very least I had made her aware than both of them were living here, and nothing was done.) Two weeks ago I told the probation officer again that they were living together, and that they were using our home as a doss house, drinking and sleeping, and doing god knows what else in their car on our front yard. His probation officer asked him about it at first he denied it, but then admitted to both, at which point the probation officer growled at him for lying, and did nothing. Last Thursday my husband rang the probation office, to inform them again of what is going on, was told he had to withdraw consent, to have him here. which he has done. (His being in breach of his bail conditions is not enough, he can do what ever he likes, because probation does not care and will not do anything, and by the way, she is also on parole, and in breach by being here, and drinking, and still probation is doing nothing.) I believe probation is intentionally dragging their feet on this matter, because his home detention will be up in a few weeks, and they can wash there hands of it. Accept he will sill be on probation for 6 months. And we will be stuck with them both with the freedom to come and go as they please, breaking even more probation conditions. SO IT IS NOW SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND STILL NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE: SO I HAVE TURNED OFF HIS MONITOR!!! LETS SEE HOW LONG IT WILL BE BEFORE ANYTHING, IF ANYTHING WILL BE DONE ABOUT THAT!!!
