City Rewinds Ltd, Avondale

City Rewinds Limited was established in 1986 by Gordon Jones and his wife Huia. We started as a small workshop in Ponsonby in the 80’s , moved to the Viadcut Harbour in the 90’s, and eventually relocated to our current location in Avondale in 2004.

In 2005 we acquired Technical Rewinds, adding years of expertise and staff to our company.

City Rewinds is still owned and managed by Gordon and Huia, and are now joined by son Morgan, who manages the office and accounts side of the business.

Our specialty is the rewinding, repair and servicing of a variety of machinery and equipment, both plant and mobile. We rewind armatures and motors for generators, transformers, pumps, tools, compressors and much much more.

We are members of the International Organisation EASA (Electrical Apparatus Service Association) and we wind our motors to these international EASA standards.

Our WORKSHOP is located in Avondale, Auckland. We are adjacent to the North Western Motorway and are easily accessible. Our Central location also allows us quick access to Aucklands infrastructure network, as well as access to ports and factories nationally.
