Phoned Bradfords Greenlane store to check a chair I wanted was in stock and having it confirmed they had seveni in stock (I wanted two), I drove from the city to the store. After agreeing a price I pulled out my debit card to pay but, then was informed, "they are not here but in our warehouse and it would take a week to deliver". The salesman was rude, off hand, uncaring and obviously incompetent, as he was the one on the phone who said they were in stock. I offered to pay and pick up from the warehouse, but was informed that was not possible, even though the warehouse was just five minutes away. On later trying by email to complete the purchase I was told it would indeed take a week for Bradfords to move the items from the warehouse to the store but, I could pick them up from the warehouse. Not at any stage was delivery to my home suggested. Go figure.
