The Vein Centre was started in the early 1990's, as there was a need for treatment of all stages of varicose veins, and cosmetic work. Always on the lookout for new technology, we were the first to perform Ultrasound guided sclerotherapy, the first Endovenous Laser Ablation (Published in the Australian Medical Journal), The first Mechanicochemical ablation (MOCA), and the first VeinGogh for cosmetic spider veins of the legs, face, and nose. Therefore all symptomatic veins, and all cosmetic veins, are investigated, and appropriate treatment chosen, without any bias. Although surgery is now less frequently done, it is preferred by those people who have a needle phobia, and sometimes an anatomical reason. Performing all these treatments gives us the experience to recommend the best treatment option. A large proportion of our patients are referred by family doctors, or recommendation of a friend or family - a ggo indication of trust and results.
